I’m surprised you’re not familiar with hunger strikes, especially with all the news about Khader Adnan and the other Palestinians right now

I’m even more surprised that the idea of self harm as a form of protest is surprising to you, given all the news about Tibet right now

clearly it’s working, since you’ve heard his story; I guess now it’s up to you whether you recognize that he’s drawing attention to a problem we have and maybe think about something you could do to help or just sit back and say “why would you try to fix other people’s problems??”

(not that it’s your responsibility to fix the university’s problems hahaha but if you’ve heard of it then hopefully their administrators have too)
